The Story of Cinderella

Once Upon a Time
Kids Stories: There was a very wealthy man who had a sweet and kind-hearted daughter. Sadly, the man’s wife had passed away, so he married again, hoping his new wife would be a good mother to his daughter. But things didn’t turn out as he had hoped. His new wife was mean and selfish, and she had two daughters who were just as unkind.
A Difficult Life for Cinderella
The man’s new wife and her daughters were so rude and mean that the man became very unhappy and decided to work far away. This left his daughter alone with her mean stepmother and stepsisters. Even though the girl was loving and kind, they treated her poorly and made her do all the housework. They were so cruel that they changed her name to Cinderella because her face was always dusty from cleaning the fireplace.
The Royal Ball Invitation
One day, a royal messenger came to their house with exciting news. The king and queen had invited all the young ladies to a ball where the prince would choose a bride. Cinderella’s stepsisters were overjoyed and started preparing for the ball. However, Cinderella’s stepmother refused to buy her new clothes and told her that she couldn’t go because she was just a servant girl.
A Magical Transformation
While everyone else went to the ball, Cinderella sat at home and cried. Suddenly, a kind and beautiful fairy appeared. She was Cinderella’s fairy godmother. The fairy godmother promised to help Cinderella go to the ball. With a wave of her wand, Cinderella’s old clothes turned into a beautiful evening gown, and her slippers became delicate glass slippers.
The fairy godmother then turned a pumpkin into a shiny golden carriage and some mice into horses. She also turned a rat into a coachman and a lizard into a smart footman. Cinderella was ready to go to the ball, but the fairy godmother warned her to return by midnight, as the magic would disappear.
The Prince and Cinderella
When Cinderella arrives at the ball, she looks so beautiful that everyone stops to look at her. The prince was charmed by her and only wanted to dance with her. They danced all night, and Cinderella was the happiest ever. The prince thought she was the kindest and most beautiful young woman he had ever met.
The Midnight Rush
As time passed, it grew close to midnight. Cinderella suddenly remembered the fairy godmother’s warning. She quickly told the prince that she had to leave and ran out of the palace. The prince tried to stop her, but she was already gone. In her rush, Cinderella lost one of her glass slippers.
The Search for Cinderella
The next day, the royal messenger came to their house with the prince. He was carrying the glass slipper that Cinderella had lost. The prince announced that he would marry whoever could fit the slipper. Cinderella’s stepsisters tried to squeeze their feet into the slipper, but it didn’t fit.
Then the prince noticed Cinderella standing quietly in the corner. He asked her to try on the slipper, and it fit perfectly. The prince knew right away that she was the girl he had danced with at the ball.
Happily Ever After
Cinderella and the prince had a grand wedding and invited everyone to the celebration. Even her stepsisters and stepmother were invited. They decided to be kind and loving, just like Cinderella. From that day on, Cinderella and the prince lived happily ever after.
